Established in 2004, and has been growing ever since. Our GPGS promise has been to provide exemplary education focusing on our students and professionals individually; placing special personalized work structures to each student while catering to their specific needs. GPGS strives to break all misconceptions associated with our local and regional students who wish to study abroad on International Scholarships. Our aim is simple, to assist all that we can. Purpose of GPGS

GPGS is dedicated to fostering an academic community in which the learning and scholarship of every student may flourish, with vigilant protection for individual human rights, and a resolute commitment to the principles of equal opportunity, equity, and justice. Within the unique GPGS context, the most crucial of all human rights are the rights of freedom of speech, academic freedom, and freedom of research. And we affirm that these rights are meaningless unless they entail the right to raise deeply disturbing questions and provocative challenges to the cherished beliefs of society at large and of GPGS itself. It is this human right to radical, critical teaching and research with which GPGS has a duty above all to be concerned; for there is no one else, no other institution and no other office, in our modern liberal democracy, which is the custodian of this most precious and vulnerable right of the liberated human spirit.

GPGS is determined to build on its past achievements and so enhance its teaching and placement service. GPGS anticipates that it will remain a large choice - the best student option available. It will continue to exploit the advantages of size by encouraging scholarships in a wide range of disciplines. It will continue to value its students and will strive to make its office with attractive settings for scholarly activity.

Teaching

GPGS will strive to ensure that its students are educated in the broadest sense, with the ability to think clearly, judge objectively, and contribute constructively to society. GPGS wishes to increase its ability to attract students in all its teaching programs. We are committed to:

President's Address

"The Value of a GPGS Education"

These are troubling economic times, and here at GPGS we know that many families are struggling to meet the goal of sending their children to University. Each week we all read another article or see yet another news story, about the rising costs of "a private" university education, often with the conclusion that families can’t afford to fund their child education. GPGS remains committed to delivering the highest quality educational experience in the most cost-effective way possible. We increasingly look to both public and private higher education for the solution. To be clear, we remain committed to delivering the highest quality educational experience in the most cost-effective way possible. At GPGS, we readily accept this obligation. Only by assuring you about the value of a GPGS education can we continue to thrive as an institution dedicated to the success of all our future, current, and past students.

Although every institution of higher education will offer you the standard assurance that ‘students come first,’ you should ask the question: “Just what does that mean?” After all, every brick-and-mortar building has classrooms, committed staff, and libraries. What makes one different from another?

At GPGS, we focus on the individual student which is demonstrated in meaningful and visible ways — ways that you will see the first time you visit our office and that you will come to appreciate even more as you continue to learn about us. We are not large, but we are mighty.

As one of the only institutions in the country that comes certified — and yet having the highest levels of accreditation and pass rates in SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT, and LSAT classes in Trinidad and Tobago — GPGS students have the educational opportunities usually offered only at much larger impersonal institutions and here no student is ever just a face in the crowd. Our individualized approach to education includes a profound commitment to small class sizes, personalized student-teacher relationships, student engagement, and personal growth both within and beyond the classroom. We strive to create a sense of belonging from the first time a prospective student sets foot in our office by treating every individual as a valued member of our community with a shared sense of purpose.

Why? Because we know that a sense of community, of belonging, is as important to student success as with GPGS resources. Importantly, many of our staff have grown and developed with GPGS, and we provide an environment that encourages them to do so. We take pride in the fact that our student body will continue to be aided by many of the same staff they knew as students, even as we have continued to grow, expand, and flourish.

All offices provide seats in the classroom. At GPGS, students are offered a seat in a lifelong learning community, which will continue to nurture them onto the university campus. Our students leave our classroom as globally educated citizens, wise not just in academic learning but also in the skills that make good citizens, good employees and employers, and well-rounded individuals. We have outstanding staff members who demonstrate every day an extraordinary commitment to our mission and to our students.

Our accreditations require, and our dedication to professional development encourages, that our institution is active in research and publishing while maintaining teaching as a priority. As a result, our staff members are known as professionals at the forefront of their disciplines. See for yourself how we take care of our employees and the offices and you will begin to understand how we take care of our students. Still, learning outside of the classroom is also essential to becoming well-rounded individuals, and there is truly something for everyone. Learning beyond the classroom is a requirement, not just an idea.

At GPGS, we work with a network of organizations. We offer opportunities for learning and leadership, team, and problem-solving skills essential to being successful adults. Students are continually encouraged within and outside the classroom to aim high and to remember that the effort in doing so is often more important to future success than any success at the time. However, we know that even as you come to appreciate the value of a GPGS education, you may remain concerned about university costs. Be fully informed. For most students attending private institutions, the total of tuition, fees, room, and board is offset by scholarships and grants to a substantial degree. Don’t be shocked at what institutions offer, both merit and need-based aid to more than 95 percent of new students . . . advertise as their “sticker price.” Learn what your actual costs will be before making a decision about what is right for you.

At GPGS, we offer advice that will aid in your decision to more than 100 percent of new student scholarships — often meaning that the actual cost of attendance may be lower than you think. We know that navigating the world of financial aid and scholarships is complicated, and we are here to help you. All GPGS students will receive information about University Financial Aid and Scholarship Awards in a timely way.
